Vintage 1910s-30s all white cotton and lace insertion and trim over-towel, measuring 44” x 24 ¾”. (Over-towels hung over a swinging bar in front of a kitchen towel rack, where more utilitarian towels were hung by loops from hooks – the over-towel hid the plain, work-a-day towels from view, and displayed your best handiwork done to match your kitchen, or offer a motto or blessing to encourage you throughout your day. Over-towels were not actually used; they were purely decorative, folded over then pinned or basted to stay in place.) There is a little fleck, shown, below the lace insertion; otherwise excellent. Freshly cleaned and ready for your immediate use.
