Product Description
Unusually shaped antique European linen hand embroidered cutwork runner, dresser scarf, or mantel cover, lavishly worked on the edge in a chain of daisies. Full width is 46 inches; body of the linen not counting the extensions is 36 inches, and it is 17 inches deep. There is a tiny break in the linen shown in the fifth photo, with a break in the fancy hemstitching decoration below it, and a pinhole, shown last photo. Otherwise excellent, and the small flaws worth overlooking for a piece so heavily and beautifully worked. Stored very nicely, clean.Vintage runners are so versatile. They will add a decorative touch to a table, dresser, or sideboard, or even laid against the back of a sofa. They can hide damage to the finish or upholstery fabric on a piece of furniture, or be turned into pillow tops easily enough. Our selection is unsurpassed, from lace to embroidery to cutwork and crochet. Our linens are purchased directly from estates, and in some cases, antique markets or private homes, and due to the very large volume in which we buy and sell them, we obviously cannot clean and restore them ourselves and still keep them so very affordable. Thus, all these stored-for-decades linens must be assumed to have storage marks, fold-line darkening, etc. Some may look pristine, some will need a good bath. Any damage, or discoloration that we feel may not come out with proper cleaning, will be described. All of these are sold as is, in other words they need washing. We sell a fantastic array of specialized cleaning products to handle anything.
