A Safe Haven

We are known for being a dog friendly company and now apparently the birds like us and feel safe in our company.  A few months back we planted a Leland cypress in one of our garden urns to green up the front of the store.  Two weeks ago we noticed a small wren hanging about and then lo and behold we saw she had built a nest in the cypress.  Enjoy the photos of this sweet nest and the three tiny eggs. They are so small!

We are gathering Coupons for the Troops!

As of this week, we are going to be accepting coupons for the Military – this website explains it all:

Basically, we will assemble all coupons anyone brings in, and mail them out each day since we ship hundreds of packages each day anyway! These coupons can be used by the Military stationed abroad, in any commissary, and the best part is they can use coupons up to 6 months after they expire, so don’t throw them out!

You can send them to the address on the site, or you can bring them to the store, 1765 Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia, and we will send them for you.

Review: If you like/love honey you will love these little pillows of honey.  The hard outer candy is delightfully sweet without being too sweet like marshmallows, the aroma is soft and floral and I find myself just opening up the jar and taking a big whiff when I just need to smile.  Then there is the honey center.  It tastes like lovely sweet floral honey but it’s not as runny.  It’s great to have these little portable honey drops when your allergy medication dries out your mouth.  The only problem is you will become addicted.

Review: We loved the two sets of Provence Solid Yellow Melamine Dinnerware and serving platters we purchased from Touch of Europe for our French Country house. So we ordered and gave the same two sets and platters to good friends as a gift for their newly built Tuscan style home.  They were just as amazed as we that the dinnerware is not real china, and how beautiful and functional  it is.  The look, color, weight and feel are fabulous.  When we visited our friends over the holidays, it was a great compliment to learn  they enjoy our gift so much that they purchased another set from Touch of Europe to add to their serving capacity.  We and they still have fun watching amazed guests realize that such a beautiful and functional product is not china.
