I’d Like to Introduce Myself

As the most important staff member at Touch of Europe, I am shocked that I haven’t been properly and formally introduced.  And I’ve been ‘working’ here for 8 months now!

I was born in Texas.  Nobody is quite sure where, and nobody can tell me much about my parents, but my good looks don’t leave me any room to doubt they must have been very good looking indeed.

Daisy in Texas

I was well cared for since I was actually spayed and I was in pretty good shape, but something happened and I have amnesia, so I can’t tell you exactly how I came to be at La Bahia, the Texas antique Show Touch of Europe goes to twice a year.

I was running around there, with no leash, no collar but having a lot of fun.

Peter and Mimi decided I should not be on my own and I think he was afraid I’d have an accident too.  So they decided I had to come live with them in Georgia.  However, they were really sadistically mean and took me to a vet, so I could be poked and prodded everywhere. I guess it’s OK but it was not fun.  They did have me treated for all the vermin I was covered in, no more scratching, yay!

In the truck

So I went back to Georgia with them in the truck and I really enjoyed the ride.  They decided to name me Miss Daisy in honor of the trip.  I think the name suits my sunny personality.

Scenery

I am about 15 months old now, and live with 3 identical cats (I thought I was having vision trouble when I first saw Lucy, Ethel and Fred).

Stooges

My days are hard work.  I get up early and go to the office where my role is the official mascot.  That means I get petted all day long.  It’s a dog’s life, I’m telling you.  I have a comfy pillow for my naps, sorely needed after all the fuss.

working

In the evening I get to go run and play (sometimes with the neighbor dog – he’s a boy but he’s nice enough).  And then it’s more play time with the cats, and Peter and Mimi.  Finally after a long exhausting day I collapse and sleep.

Cuddling

more work

All in all, I’m happy to be living in Georgia – some would say it’s not as pretty as Texas, but it’s really nice.  They don’t feed me fast food though, like I got in Texas, so that’s a shame.  But otherwise, life is good …

Well – how nice to meet you Miss Daisy! I understand ever so much what a valuable team member you are!! You and my assistant might have a few squables if you were to meet – but I suspect you’d be old buddies in no time. Catpuccino is a huge help in my office. He’s often behind the computer screen – literally batting his paw across my laptop as I type and when I’m gone I return home to discover he’s been keeping the keys warm ready for my return by sleeping on the keyboard! Once he was even so kind as to switch my monitor language to Spanish simply as a marketing technique hoping to help me expand into emerging markets. A cat’s work is never done… it’s a dogs life really. And Miss Daisy, I suspect if it weren’t for you – nothing would get done in that office. I’m delighted to meet you!
