Moravian Cookies
“Vintage” is the appropriate, if not the best, way to describe products from Salem Baking. The company started in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in the 1930s (under the name Dewey’s Bakery). The current name was created in 1992 when the company decidd to focus on the traditional baked goods they were famous for. The name derives from the Moravian settlement in Salem, in existence since 1766, and the source of the first recipes, the Moravian Cookies.

The cookies are now a household classic, especially during the holidays. They are made in the homemade tradition, using fine, natural ingredients. The vivid and very distinctive taste has created a tradition in many families of serving Moravian thin cookies during the period from November to December. But they really can be enjoyed all year long!

Part of the fun is the classic packaging, inspired by the original design still. The collectible tins and the holiday tins are household classics!
